What is going to cause the next accident on the ramp at EDI?

  • "Pax unsupervised boarding in adverse weather and walk wrong way between cluttered ground equipment and sustain injury."

  • "Inaccurate loading of an aircraft. Due to the lack of TCO's yet again an aircraft will be loaded incorrectly."

  • "Passengers walking the wrong way during boarding. For example around ramp equipment/tug, under the wing etc. I have witnessed a couple of events where passengers leave the terminal unsupervised and walk the wrong way"

  • "To show the inexperience and lack of training of our ramp staff I would tell them about last week when the lead ramp agent asked us if we required deicing even though the entirety of the fuselage, stabiliser and wings were covered in 100mm of snow."

  • "No gate staff when get on stand. Wait 15-20mins for any gate staff to arrive. When they arrive everyone onboard including crew impatient and gate staff flustered so mistakes made. Passengers walk off in wrong direction under wing, not noticed as other ground crew have left."
